Pinecone Crafts Ideas

There are many ways to create beautiful crafts with pinecones and this season is a great time to collect them from the ground as they fall off the trees. If you’re not in an area where you can find and collect pinecones you can buy them from crafts stores and most pharmacy/convenience stores.

You can arrange pinecones around candles to make a beautiful display:

You can brighten up your pinecones by painting and glittering the tips with colors like white and silver to create a snowy effect. You can also use blue and silver to create an icy effect:

Fall Crafts Idea – Fragrant Cinnamon Stick Bunches

spicyfall

A pretty and fragrant Fall decor idea is to make cinnamon stick bunches tied with colored curly ribbons. You can add further fragrance to these cute little cinnamon stick bunches by placing them in decorative seasonal display dishes with strong smelling spices like whole allspice, cloves, and nutmeg.

In the photo above I placed my cinnamon stick bunch in a Fall leaf shaped dish filled with whole allspice, cloves, hawthorn berries, and dried orange peel.

I have a tutorial video on how to make these cute little cinnamon stick bunches and how to curl the ribbon:

Lavender Dessert Recipes

While we all know that lavender is fantastic in crafts like potpourri, soap, sachets, and bath products, it is also edible and is a great addition to many recipes. This wonderful aromatic herb has a distinct flavor and should be used lightly because it is quite strong. It’s flavoring goes particularly well with recipes using ingredients like cream, milk, and sugar, so it makes a great addition to baking recipes.

Explore your creative side and satisfy your sweet tooth with these great dessert recipes using lavender.

Beach in a Jar Crafts

I love jar crafts, there are so many creative ways to make lovely displays and to create miniature sceneries inside the jars. Summertime is a great time to collect items from the beach like seashells, starfish, sand, pebbles, etc., and make a little ‘beach in a jar’. You can even put small photos and other special items from your vacations and create little beach memory jars. These beautiful little nature crafts are not only fun to make but also look fantastic as part of your decor.

Have a look at these lovely ‘beach in a jar’ crafts to give you ideas and inspiration:
